I think that this is a great person for taking the time to help these kids get out of the city and into the woods. I wish that there was a program like that here in the Pocono’s. Good Luck and keep up the great work. These children will thank you when they get older and they can tell other kids about the program.

How wonderful in this day and age that there is someone among us that not only helps children in the community with their academics but also enriches their lives by providing them with opportunities such as this. You should be proud of your accomplishments as I’m sure many of the children you have helped over the years will go on to become more productive adults because of your efforts. Keep up the great work!

I have personally had the privilege of experiencing a Camp Compass hunt, and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that John Annoni’s leadership and vision have had a profoundly positive impact on the lives of countless young people. The values of respect, integrity and personal responsibility will remain with these students long after the hunting and fishing trips are over.

John is an awesome guy who is impacting a lot of kids emotionally, physically and spiritually. He is a man of faith. He is doing monumental things for the hunting world by introducing kids to hunting that otherwise would never hunt. What an example for those of us who hunt!

John has reformatted the American spirit of self reliance with education, skill development, and respect for all life, including the animals his students earn the right to hunt. His students learn that every action they take has consequences and therefore it is important to always think before they act.

My vote definitely goes to John Annoni! He is an awesome role-model to these inner-city youth and adults as well. I have seen first hand what an impact he has made on his students. Although he does so much for these children, he continues to be a wonderful husband and father. That really says a lot about John’s character. He is well deserving of this honor!
